Popular fizzy drinks have been recalled with the FSA 'investigating' whether affected products are in UK shops

A number of soft drinks have been recalled across Europe. This includes cans and bottles of popular fizzy drinks sold by Coca-Cola.While the recall took place in Belgium, the UK-based Food Standards Agency is 'investigating' to see if fizzy drinks in the UK are affected too.

While the FSA hasn't issued a UK-based recall yet, it is 'investigating if any Coca-Cola products containing 'higher levels' of a chemical called chlorate are on the UK market,' A product that is 'withdrawn' is simply removed from the point of sale, while a 'recalled' item requires customers to return it because it doesn't meet safety standards.
