Cody Drameh is in the final year of his contract with Leeds United
Leeds United are open to the idea of allowing Cody Drameh to leave Elland Road before tomorrow night’s deadline. That’s according to Phil Hay of the Athletic, who claims the defender is attracting interest from Championship clubs.
Birmingham City have apparently emerged as a potential suitor for the 21-year-old, with a season-long loan deal being spoken of, while the report claims West Bromwich Albion are also interested in the full-back. Drameh is in the final year of his contract in West Yorkshire and with that in mind, Leeds would undoubtedly rather see him leave permanently rather than on loan ahead of a potential free transfer in the summer.
It was hoped the defender could kick on at his parent club this season and establish himself, but he was unfortunate enough to pick up an injury in pre-season, allowing Luke Ayling to nail down the right-back spot for the opening four Championship games. It seems Spence, who won promotion with Nottingham Forest in 2022, might be the man that takes the reins on the right side of defence moving forward, though.
