The tragedy comes just days after the new school year started for New Brockton High School.
NEW BROCKTON, Ala. - The town of New Brockton is mourning the loss of a freshman student-athlete who died Tuesday.The impact of the loss of Wilkins has reached other communities.
Before coming to New Brockton High School, Semaj attended Coppinville Junior High School in Enterprise. Principal Brad Barton says this loss is tough for many reasons.Known for his love of sports, the 14-year-old also left a mark thanks to his personality. This is a tough loss for Semaj’s family and the surrounding community, but Barton hopes that the outpouring of support will make things better.
