Hundreds of visitors will receive present boxes from the 22-wheeler at the Lidl store
Not to be outdone by a more famous brand of cola, a supermarket will be driving festive cheer straight into the heart of Rutherglen this Christmas .
The store is one of nine extra stops that have been added to the vehicle’s tour, after huge popular demand and thousands flocking to see it at every stop so far. The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories, and allows you to customise your page to the sections that matter most to you.The tour, announced last month, saw the fan-favourite Lidl Freeway drink set free on the literal freeway by transforming it into a whopping 15 tonne, 20 metre long and five-metre high truck.
There will also be mouth-watering food and drinks to sample, the tasty delights will include panettone and snowmallow, alcohol-free mulled wine, and also festive chutneys.
