Coldplay will play two dates in Hull and four in London, and in a world first for a stadium show, the Wembley concerts will be powered entirely by solar, wind and kinetic energy.
Coldplay have announced six UK shows for next year, and say they are the only gigs they will perform in Europe in 2025. Two of the dates are in Hull - the first time the band have ever played in the city - with 50% of the tickets reserved for local fans. Those with a HU, YO, DN or LN postcode will be able to buy tickets the evening before they go on general sale. The remaining four dates are for Wembley Stadium in London.
Responding to Coldplay's donation, Mark Davyd, CEO of Music Venue Trust, said it was 'fantastic' to see Coldplay 'celebrating their own pathway to Wembley by giving back to the grassroots music venues that supported them'. He added: 'The band's support really will stop venues closing, make tours happen and bring the joy of live music to thousands of people.
