Coldplay will only see fraction of huge £200k Glastonbury fee for one reason

The British rock band are headlining at Glastonbury on Saturday evening and will become the first act to headline the festival five times.

Coldplay will make around £200,000 for their Glastonbury performance this weekend but just like their fellow headliner Dua Lipa they will not actually see a large amount of that money as it will go towards their set, staging and production costs.

A source told the Mirror: “A lot of acts take the lower fee for the publicity not least as they are guaranteed an audience on the BBC.” The 28-year-old wowed crowds with a string of hits that included some impressive choreography and multiple outfit changes. The singer is scheduled to perform at Glastonbury on Sunday evening and has gig at Brixton Academy tonight but some fans still believe she could make a surprise appearance at Coldplay's show tonight which isn't due to end till around 11:45pm.
