Blackpool-born singer and TV presenter Coleen Nolan has spoken out about the way her children were wary about her on-off relationship with her current partner.
Loose Women panellist Coleen and Michael Jones - who works for a supermarket in its logistics arm - met on Tinder in 2021, with Coleen introducing him to the world during a joint appearance on the ITV lunchtime show in January last year. After dating for around a year Coleen and Michael split up last July. However, in August this year, Coleen revealed on Loose Women that the pair had got back together.
"The first year I was with Michael, they weren’t sure because, one minute I was all about him and the next I was saying I finished it, so they were confused," the 58-year-old told OK! magazine. After they split, Coleen found herself desperately missing Michael and reconsidering their breakup.Coleen's two older children - Shane Jr and Jake - are from her marriage to EastEnders actor Shane Richie, who she later said cheated on her and made her feel paranoid.
In the aftermath of her break-up with Michael, Coleen revealed her children made her to go therapy so she could fully embrace and accept a new love. Addressing their on-again-off-again status during one of their breaks, Coleen revealed she desperately missed Michael and needed to “sort my head out and accept that I deserve to be and can be loved like that”.
