A coin collector has taken to TikTok to reveal the 'holy grail' of UK coins - a rare 20p piece worth 250 times its face value
Well, one TikTok user, known as @CoinCollectingWizard, suggests that today could be your day of fortune. The coin enthusiast, who boasts a following of 210,400, revealed that a specific 20p piece could be worth hundreds more than its face value – but there's a catch.
"This 20p is known as the undated 20p mule error, considered by many as one of the holy grails of UK change collecting. The undated 20p is always at the top of any coin collector's wish list." The Royal Mint confirmed this is the first time in over 300 years where a coin entered circulation without a date. "It makes it extremely sought after by coin collectors," he concluded. "So always check your change."
