National Education announces nine new dates for industrial action for LIPA sixth form staff
A teaching union has announced nine new dates for industrial action at a Liverpool sixth form college as a row with bosses intensifies. Staff at LIPA Sixth Form college first walked out on strike on November 26, with further walk-outs in December. The strike action was called in response to what the National Education Union claims are 'inefficient management practices and health and safety concerns' at LIPA Multi-Academy Trust .
Their dedication to providing quality education under increasingly difficult conditions is commendable. It's high time for LIPA MAT to acknowledge and respect their dedication by genuinely listening to their voices – just as their colleagues in the higher education college around the corner do.
