A college student visiting San Diego from Ireland is fighting for his life after he was severely beaten and found unconscious in an alley in Pacific Beach.
White had been out in Pacific Beach celebrating his 21st birthday with friends the night before the brutal beating, police said. "She said she went to bed at 2:30 in the morning after work and was up at 7 a.m. She didn't hear anything," Goldfinger said. One week later, White remains critical condition, in a medically-induced coma at a San Diego-area hospital, police said.
