Pictures of the latest progress building the UKs longest railway bridge for HS2 show the scale of the work.
At the end of August, HS2 engineers completed a key 40-metre span that will form part of the high-speed rail project’s Colne Valley Viaduct, near Harefield and Maple Cross, but there is a lot left to do.
Once complete, it will be the longest railway bridge in the UK, stretching for more than two miles across the Grand Union Canal, River Colne, local roads, and a series of lakes. On August 22, a video was shared showing a viaduct segment over Moorhall Road, Between Denham and Harefield, and several pictures of the work so far were then released by HS2.
