Dairy cows in nine states have tested positive for avian flu, and the FDA says it has been detected in one of every five pasteurized milk samples.
DENVER — A virtual town hall meeting will be held Wednesday to provide an update on the avian influenza in Colorado.
Colorado Departments of Agriculture and Public Health and Environment will host the virtual meeting from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday. CDA and CDPHE will provide updates on the status of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Colorado, discuss the pre-testing requirements for dairy cattle, and answer questions from participants.HPAI has been detected in wild birds and poultry across many eastern states.
