Denver and parts of east central, north central and northeast Colorado are under a freeze watch late tonight through Wednesday morning.

Yesterday’s gusty winds continue today across the state and a freeze watch is in effect for Denver and portions of the plains, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday will reach a high of 59 degrees with gusts up to 28 mph. There is a 20% chance of precipitation Wednesday night, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 p.m. and a slight chance of showers after midnight. The expected low is 35 degrees and wind gusts may get up to 28 mph.

Portions of the mountains are under a winter weather advisory until 6 p.m. this evening with slippery road conditions, blowing snow causing reduced visibility and difficult travel expected.
