There’s a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms in Denver this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Thunderstorms are expected again this afternoon and evening over the Front Range mountains, foothills, South Park and I-25 corridor. Severe storms may be possible with heavy rain, hail and high winds.
The Denver Metro area will be partly sunny today with a high of 86 degrees. There’s a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms, with most storms occurring after 3 p.m. Dry, warm weather with highs above 90 degrees is expected Wednesday and Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms may return to Denver on Friday afternoon, according to the NWS.Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to form over the mountains in portions of central, east central, south central and southeast Colorado this afternoon before moving east into adjacent areas this evening. Heavy rainfall, lightning, high winds and hail up to 1 inch in diameter may be possible.
