ABC 6 asked Mayor Ginther how the city can work with the juvenile court system to ensure young criminals are not being released without adequate punishment. "Safety is a complex issue," Executive Director of the Short North Alliance Betsy Pandora said. "Gun violence is a complex crisis. And the Short North is one of the more complex environments in the city of Columbus. Being in close connection and collaboration with the city’s leadership and CPD so they are all ears and so they can explore strategies that have meaning as this community continues to evolve and grow, is really what’s on everyone’s mind.
