It's not just fellow chefs they impressed
Nottingham restaurant Paris swept to victory in this week's episode of Come Dine With Me: The Professionals. But it's not just fellow chefs and restaurant managers that the owners have wowed with their mouth-watering food.
One said: "Unpretentious yet delicious food tucked away opposite the Contemporary Art museum. Friendly attentive service . Extensive cocktail list. Prices reflect the quality of the establishment and food; not cheap, but worth the spend."Another wrote: "The staff were excellent. No rushing you through, unobtrusive but attentive, good sense of humour whilst also maintaining professional attitude. The food was excellent.
It's not just the food diners have applauded. One review titled 'superb dining experience' praised the service. "Food and service from all staff outstanding. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about menu. Surprised the dining area was so big as building from the outside looks smaller. Would like to thank the chef and his staff for a superb meal and the waiting staff for making our wedding anniversary so good," said the happy customer.
Paris was competing against fellow Come Dine With Me professionals from country pubs, The Plough in Normanton-on-the-Wolds, and the Red Lion in Thurgarton. Chef James Crossman treated them to pan-roasted quail breast, a main of honey-roasted duck breast with shallot tarte tatin and Amarena cherries, and a dessert of passionfruit soufflé with banana crisp, home-made dark chocolate ice cream and banana milkshake.
