Podcaster Adrian Thompson hit out at the government amid rising interest rates
A comedian and podcaster has blasted the Tories over their mismanagement of the economy as he shared fears of losing his house amid a doubling of his mortgage payments.
Thompson wrote that he expects his mortgage to double from £1,000 to £2,000 a month – and fears that he might have to give up the house he shares with his young family. "But if nobody says anything, like 'HEY THERE'S A VERY REAL CHANCE I’M ABOUT TO LOSE MY HOUSE', then everyone thinks it’s just *them*. That *they’re* a financial failure.
Top news stories today Thompson hit out at "Tufton Street" types for sending the economy into a spiral. Tufton Street, on Westminster's doorstep in London, is home to right-wing think tanks such as the Adam Smith Institute and the Institute for Economic Affairs , some of whom have close links to the Tories.
