Figures showed that more than 11,000 noise complaints were received in NI in the last year
Five complaints against the chime of ice cream vans in Northern Ireland were among the thousands of complaints made by residents to local councils in the last year.
The total figure represents a 15% decrease in the number of noise complaints compared to the previous year.READ MORE: Belfast to Turkey Jet2 flight drunken assault passenger slated by judge Commercial and leisure complaints were the next highest of those recorded across NI, including noise from entertainment venues and security alarms making up more than 1,200 complaints across the 11 council areas.
The Belfast City Council area received the most complaints of all eleven districts, receiving 5,705 complaints compared to the next highest in Antrim & Newtownabbey with 821.
