Edinburgh Police took to Twitter on Thursday evening to try and trace Jamie Gallagher, 37, and eight-month-old Elliot Marshall.

Police have launched an urgent search for a man and baby who are thought to be in the Edinburgh area, with concerns for the pair's welfare.

A spokesperson said: "Officers have concerns for the welfare of Jamie Gallagher and Elliot Marshall , who are believed to be together in the Edinburgh area. Anyone with information as to their whereabouts is asked to contact police quoting incident number 1613 of February 2, 2023." Information can be given to Police Scotland by calling the non-emergency number, 101. A list of people currently missing north of the Border is available on the Police Scotland website.
