Beijing’s Foreign Minister has cautioned the United States to change its path or risk facing a more aggressive China.

Mr Qin also noted the diplomatic fallout between Beijing and Washington following the shooting down of a Chinese spy balloon. "If the United States does not hit the brake, and continues to speed down the wrong path, no amount of guardrails can prevent derailment, which will become conflict and confrontation,” he told reporters.Beijing’s attitude towards the self-governing island of 23 million people has become more hostile in recent months through increased military activity in the region and more aggressive rhetoric.
