The 31-year-old has been on the bench for the title chasers' last two games against Hearts and St Mirren after Philippe Clement freshened up his backline in the wake of setbacks against Ross County and Dundee. Goldson – hot off receiving the John Greig achievement award at the club's player of the year awards – was posted missing at the club's training base.
Clement will speak to the media on Friday and will provide further updates on the status of Goldson with Leon Balogun and John Souttar primed to continue their partnership at the heart of the Ibrox defence. The defender – an almost ever present during his six years in Glasgow – is on the radar of former boss Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq.
