Clement revealed Goldson has been allowed to leave the squad to pursue a move
Connor Goldson is on the brink of leaving Rangers after Philippe Clement confirmed he's been left out against Birmingham due to a 'concrete offer.'
The centre-back has been the subject of plenty of speculation surrounding a possible move to Aris Limassol. Reports in Cyprus claiming he'd already landed for a medical appeared wide of the mark after he was spotted boarding the plane to Birmingham for Trevor Francis' memorial friendly. But after Goldson was left out of the squad altogether, rumours began to swirl once again.
Clement was asked about the situation on Rangers TV prior to the friendly. And while he stopped short of naming Aris, he did reveal Goldson left the squad 'today' to pursue a move. He said: "Connor was planned to start today, that was the idea. But there is a concrete offer for him so I allowed him to go and speak with this team. That's why I allowed him to leave today. We will see in the next couple of days.
