St Mirren winger McMenamin is set to go up against Northern Ireland legend Davis who is Rangers' new interim manager
Conor McMenamin says he will be forever grateful to Steven Davis for helping him settle into international football since his first call-up last year.
Now 28, the former Irish League star is revelling in the moment with his new club, who currently sit second in the Scottish Premiership table and remain unbeaten after seven games. "It is no surprise to see Rangers appoint Steven in an interim role. He brings so much experience and he is a Rangers legend," McMenamin told Belfast Live.
McMenamin says he has tapped into Davis' experience during Northern Ireland camps, with the 38-year-old helping the St Mirren winger bed into international football. "Steven is a quality player, but he brings so much more to the dressing room. Ever since I came into the squad he made me feel so welcome.
Despite St Mirren's fast start, McMenamin insists the Buddies are remaining grounded as they look to improve on last season's sixth-place finish.
