The once safe Conservative seat of Altrincham and Sale West has been won by Labour, marking a significant shift in the political landscape. The loss is attributed to voter discontent with the current Conservative government and a growing sense of apathy towards the party.

Altrincham and Sale West, an affluent constituency on the edge of Greater Manchester, has been a Conservative stronghold for decades.
