CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — The construction of the Tingloy circumferential road costing about P2.1 billion that will boost tourism and economic development of Batangas will start soon following the groundbreaking rites, said Department of Public Works and Highways -Calabarzon here on Friday, March 3. Tingloy is an island town in Batangas province and the circumferential road, once it is finished, would enhance the mobility of people, goods, and services within the town, and the neighboring areas, and ultimately boost the tourism and economic activity and efficiency within the influence area.
The groundbreaking for the 31.473-kilometer road at Barangay Pisa in Batangas City was attended by Batangas 2nd District Representative Gerville ‘Jinky Bitrics’ Luistro, DPWH Undersecretary Roberto R. Bernardo, DPWH IV-A regional director Jovel G. Mendoza, assistant regional director Isidro O.
