First introduced in 2021, Contender Cards have since become a staple in the Guardian Games event of Destiny 2. If you're curious about their function and acquisition process, you're in the right place. Contender Cards can be purchased from Eva Levante, the designated event vendor, in return for Laurels. However, it's important to note that only one card can be in use at any given moment. You can locate Eva Levante in the central courtyard of the Tower.
The Contender Cards play a significant role in the podium ceremony that takes place every weekend during the Guardian Games. Every weekend, a special ceremony is held where players can display a glow from their class item, reflecting their class' standing that week. Third place receives a bronze glow. Second place receives a silver glow. First place receives a gold glow. All-Stars receive a platinum glow.
