Meghan Markle has been called out for using her son's birthday as an excuse to not attend the King's coronation on Saturday May 6.

Speaking to Sky News Australia's Peter Stefanovic, Daily Mirror Royal Editor Russell Myers said it was a"convenient get out” for Meghan following mounting speculation over whether the pair would attend the coronation.
"I wouldn’t expect him front and centre...I imagine he would want to come in and out with as little fuss as possible, because all eyes will be on him," he said. "The King has decided to just have working royals alongside him for that moment." Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie, who is believed to be a friend of Harry and Meghan, has confirmed Archie's fourth birthday had"played a factor" in the couple's decision.
