Archibald Hunter was first imprisoned back in 1968 after he stripped and assaulted housewife Ella Bell before choking the 48-year-old to death in her Dumfries home.

In 2018, 50 years after killing Ella Bell, the pensioner was slapped with a 27 month sentence at Glasgow Sheriff Court after he abused two young girls over a six-year period.The SPS have confirmed on their website that the 79-year-old child molester and murderer died behind bars in the infamous Glasgow prison earlier this month.
