A convicted murderer who escaped from a minimum security prison facility in South Australia in 2016, sparking a manhunt, is set to be released.
A convicted killer who fled from a minimum security prison facility in 2016 has been granted parole.He was first jailed in 1986 for shooting dead a police officerGordon Marshall was jailed in 1986 at the age of 17 for fatally shooting police officer Lyncon Williams.
Marshall's lawyer told the court her client had been moved from Port Augusta Prison to Mobilong, which is a lower security prison, and was now being held at the Cadell Training Centre. "He would have parole but he will still be at the pre-release centre with quite strict conditions of parole, and that's to serve the purposes of rehabilitation."
