Amanda McGuinness and Jenna Beale have been banned from teaching after hearing how they brought in their own food and improved meals made by pupils at Somerset's The Castle School in Taunton.
Two cookery teachers landed in hot water after a misconduct panel heard they had altered pupils' dishes in a bid to improve their grades.
The TRA panel found the teachers at The Castle School in Taunton, Somerset, altered one or more pupils' mark sheets to reflect changes made to their work. The technician said that in her first year at the school she had been asked her to assist a pupil with an afternoon tea assignment and make their food 'look nice' or 'look like this' as they 'need to get an A'.Witness A said Miss Beale had herself made small meringues and chocolate decorations, which were used as an addition to enhance multiple pupils' assessments.
The school launched an investigation, and compared the photo on Facebook with the picture on its network submitted as part of the assessment.
