The workweek is ending on a quiet note but the weekend starts unsettled. Ethan Huston times out the showers and lets you know when highs surge into the 80s.
Friday has been beautiful across the Valley with plenty of sunshine and milder temps. Don't get used to it though, because our Saturday turns unsettled. A storm system continues it's trek eastward, bringing more clouds tonight and eventually, rain tomorrow. A warm front lifts toward the region, sparking hit or miss showers. Chances become higher by late morning with scattered showers in play through the afternoon. Showers exit by dinnertime with conditions drier overnight.
Storms aren't looking severe but I can't rule out a rouge stronger storm or two. It's something we'll be watching. This ridge dominates into next week with highs even warmer Monday. Afternoon readings surge back into the middle and upper 80s under a mix of clouds and sun. Just like Sunday, a spotty storm or two is possible. A cold front then moves in on Tuesday bringing better chances for scattered showers and storms.
