Sir Patrick said:"Of course the technologies will be important to get this at scale, the things that we need at scale from home heating through to electric vehicles through to new sustainable aircraft fuels through to industry cement and other things that add to carbon burden.Asked about Mr Sunak's decision to cut domestic air passenger travel duty, Sir Patrick said:"This is not a UK specific issue.

He said:"Of course all the little things that we do as individuals help as well to get this in the right place.Coming up on Sky News Ms Reeves added:"Those are the wrong decisions and I find it astonishing the week before COP26 when we're supposed to be showing global leadership ... the chancellor yesterday did nothing of the sort.

"It's about utilising the technologies we have now, getting them in place as soon as we can at scale... and making sure we use both technology and natural actions and behavioural changes.
