Police have launched a probe into the incident and say their enquiries are ongoing.
Police are hunting the owners of a red van after a mum spotted the occupants allegedly stealing both her children's scooters from her garden after dropping them off at school.
The woman posted about the theft online and a number of other local residents in the town complained their gardens were targeted.
