Police agents arrested a suspect and her two cohorts in an entrapment operation on Friday for their alleged involvement in large-scale estafa in Quezon City.
Unit of the Quezon City Police District identified the suspects as Jocelyn Maravilla Heller, 50; Felicidad Todio Mallapre, 55 years old; and Ignacio Faderagao Corpuz Jr., 35. Based on their investigation, suspect Heller convinced victim Mark Anthony Labiste that her deceased husband who was a US Marine left him P500 million.
The suspect managed to get a total of P8 million from the victim for the processing of the alleged transfer. After suspect Heller again asked for another P120,000, the victim finally realized the extortion and reported the matter to the police. An entrapment operation was conducted, which resulted in the suspects’ arrest at about 3:15 p.m. in Barangay Krus Na Ligas, Quezon City.
