Peter Murrell, who is married to the former First Minister, was arrested at 8am yesterday after police raided their home in Uddingston, Lanarkshire.
Police cars remain stationed outside Nicola Sturgeon and Peter Murrell’s home for a second day as investigations into the funding and finances of the Scottish National Party continue.
A heavy police presence remains at the couple’s house today, with officers continuing to stand guard outside the cordoned off property. The blue tent placed on their driveway by cops yesterday morning is still erect as investigations continue. Bags of evidence were also seen being removed from the SNP's headquarters in Edinburgh. Ms Sturgeon released a statement saying she had "no prior knowledge" of the police probe, but would "fully cooperate" with the investigation if required.
