Dogs and officers are searching the area
Officers descended on to the woodland near Milngavie in East Dunbartonshire after receiving an alarm at 11am today. Images from the scene show multiple cop vehicles in attendance as officers also search the area.A member of the public earlier shared multiple pieces of video footage on Twitter of a helicopter from Police Scotland's air unit flying overhead.
They said: "Low Police Scotland helicopter circling over Mugdock Country Park for some time, around the moors/loch areas near East Car Park."A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers are currently in attendance at Mugdock Country Park carrying out a search in relation to a missing person. There is no risk to the wider public and enquiries remain going.”
