The dispute interrupted the performance at the Dominion Theatre in London's West End on Saturday night.
Footage has captured the moment that four audience members were removed from a theatre following a "disturbance" during Grease the Musical.
Applause can be heard from others in the theatre as the two couples stand and leave their balcony seats which cost between £59.50 and £150. Scotland Yard confirmed it was called at 8.40pm, around 70 minutes into the performance. Two police cars and a van were pictured outside the theatre. It is currently unclear what caused the incident.
Asked by one person what had happened, he replied: "No one seems to know but bar staff claimed they'd been rude or abusive and just wouldn't leave and kept on arguing, guessing too much drink."
