CoronationStreet fans brand Craig 'a monster' as he gaslights Faye into staying
Coronation Street fans could hardly believe what they were seeing on Friday’s instalment of the popular ITV soap, when mild mannered police office Craig Tinker unveiled a ruthless streak after discovering girlfriend Faye still had feelings for her ex.
Sneaking around behind Craig’s back, it was clear romance was blossoming between the pair, with Faye skilfully trying to hide her tracks by throwing a surprise party for Craig to stop him from becoming suspicious. Instead of listening to her warning however, Craig soon snapped back at his mum as he cruelly and uncharacteristically snubbed her completely by saying she was only his mum “legally” but not in any other capacity.
And it appears later in the episode, fans may be right, as Craig brutally manipulated Faye into staying with him by issuing Faye with a veiled threat that he could report her to the police for the fatal hit and run he covered up for her last year.
