Coronation Street fans think they've cracked the mystery of Betsy Swain's real mum - and it's not DS Lisa Swain. The character, played by Sydney Martin, arrived on the cobbles earlier this year as the daughter of DS Lisa Swain .
She got involved with the evil solicitor Joel Deering , who she blackmailed before he threatened her, leaving her scared. Viewers will remember that Joel is guilty of grooming and abusing young girls, including Lauren Bolton who went missing.
