Coronation Street fans have been left gobsmacked after hearing Alison King ’s real voice for the first time. The actress shot to fame playing Carla Connor on the beloved ITV soap - making her debut in 2006. Since then, it’s fair to say factory owner Carla has become a firm-favourite with viewers and a staple on the soap. She has also had her fair share of memorable storylines over the years. From steamy affairs to battling alcoholism, her time on the famous street has not been short of drama.
What’s more, Alison has received acclaim for her acting too winning the award for Best Actress at the 2012 British Soap Awards following her powerful treatment of a rape storyline on the soap. And over on the cobbles recently, Carla has struck up a relationship with DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers). The pair have become a hit with fans, and after months of playing hard to get, the pair cemented their relationship over Christmas. However, fans of the soap have recently been left “in shock” after hearing Carla actor Alison King’s real voice for the first time.
