Cassie has been caring for Ken Soap fans miss nothing – and a recent Coronation Street scene was no exception, when they picked up on a continuity error in Ken Barlow’s well-established history. Ken is the ITV soap’s longest-serving character, having appeared in the first ever episode back in 1960. Throughout his time on the show he’s been married four times, fathered four children, adopted another and had countless affairs – but it’s the little things that matter to Corrie viewers.
After taking a nasty fall, Ken was implored by nurses to look for a private carer, and he took on neighbour Cassie Plummer to fulfil the role. Things got off to a bad start when he found out that she had never trained professionally, but Cassie assured him that had cared for an ex-boyfriend in the past and was perfectly capable.
