Hot on the heels of Coronation Street villain Stephen Reid’s death which took viewers by surprise at the culmination of super soap week, fans are convinced another cobbles icon could soon be killed off after almost 60 years on the show!
But during Stephen’s escape attempt, Peter Barlow ran him over with his car, killing the dastardly villain and seemingly ending the storyline. “Barbara Knox at 90 is on straight afterwards. Could she have asked for a big storyline to bow out on at a milestone age?”
