Two dead Coronation Street characters visit an icon of the ITV soap as she spirals in the latest Corrie episode.
Abi Webster was plagued by haunting flashbacks Abi Webster ’s mental health has been on a downward spiral in Coronation Street , ever since she found Mason Radcliffe bleeding to death in the precinct. Mason had been stabbed by his brothers, and though Abi tried her best to stem the bleeding as she called for an ambulance, the teen tragically died in hospital from his injuries. The ordeal brought back painful memories for Abi, who lost her son Seb Franklin in a violent hate crime in 2021.
The same study highlights that there have been 225 murders involving a knife or sharp instrument in England and Wales in the 12 months to June 2024, 78 of the victims were aged under 25, and 10 of the victims were aged under 16. Kate Brooks, producer of Coronation Street, said: 'It's vitally important to shine a light on this topic, and really show the impact knife crime has on not only the victim and their loved ones, but also the wider community.
