Lauren Bolton star, Cait Fitton, told the ECHO how she thinks the villain should get his comeuppance
Coronation Street stars have issued their verdicts on how Joel Deering will get his comeuppance. The villainous character's reign of terror hit a major stumbling block after his fiancee, Dee Dee Bailey, finally uncovered the sinister truth. Dee Dee finally connected the dots in last night's episode after she found out which jewellers supplied Lauren Bolton's necklace. Lauren confided in Dee Dee and revealed the awful truth about how she has abused by Joel over the past year.
Lauren is played in the show by Cait Fitton - and the star spoke to the ECHO at this year's Soap Awards as to how she would like to see soap justice served. She said: 'All of us empowering women on the show should just sort him out. We should all bring him down. I think people would love that. Empowering people is what Coronation Street is about.
