Coronation Street's Jane Danson has reunited with Emrhys Cooper, who recently left the show. For the majority of this year, Jane’s alter-ego Leanne Battersby was part of a storyline that saw her embroiled in a cult called The Institute, led by Emrhys’ character Rowan Cunliffe. Because Rowan manipulated Leanne into believing the organisation was passionate about helping others, she sadly never came to realise the dark truth about Rowan until towards the end.
After months of brainwashing, Leanne drew young Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) into the fold, and convinced her to invest her inheritance into a new resource centre. However, it turned out to be a scam, and Amy lost everything
