Coronation Street newcomer Jacob Roberts appears in his first episode as Kit Green who already has a connection to Weatherfield - he's Bernie Winter's long-lost son
In the Coronation Street episode that aired on Monday 13 May, Bernie Winter revealed to Dev Alahan that she has a secret son - and he’s played by Hollyoaks star Jacob Roberts.
In the episode, Bernie tracked down the man who she thought was her son, who goes by the name of Kit Green . While Kit denied being Bernie’s son - it’s confirmed to viewers that he is when he picks up a toy that Bernie told Dev she gave her baby son years ago.“I was very shocked because I know Bernie has already got a big family, so to be a part of that family is great but I was surprised. I didn’t know how well I would fit in because Kit is nothing like that family.
Jacob explained: “Kit is working as a detective and has been brought in to try and solve the Lauren Bolton case and of course is Bernie’s secret son. I do think he is going to be a very misunderstood character at first.
