Coronation Street star Colson Smith has received messages of support from fans after issuing a two-week countdown. , when his mum, Beth Tinker, went on an ill-fated date with Steve McDonald.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Colson, 25, has overhauled his lifestyle in recent years and has lost an incredible 10 stone. Colson previously shared how he implemented the changes and started running when the UK was placed into lockdown during the Covid pandemic. The actor started running a few years ago and has since undertaken a number of marathons and other athletic feats. In 2022, he competed in the ITV reality series The Games where he went up against other celebrities in a number of gruelling fitness challenges.On Sunday Colson took to Instagram to give his 180,000 followers a running update. The Craig Tinker actor will soon jet off to Belgium to take part in another marathon.
Sharing a selfie as he posed in his running gear, Colson simply said: "Race Day 2 weeks away [Belgium flag emojis]". Fellow Corrie star Tina O'Brien, who plays Sarah Barlow, commented: "Actual inspiration". Fans have also wished Colson well beneath the post. Jason said: "Nice work Colson. Do you have a target time, or is it more just to compete and finish?" and Colson replied: "Just a holiday with run this, putting no pressure on myself".
