THE UK's coronavirus death toll rose by five in the last 24 hours bringing the total fatalities to 41,366.Deaths are up by two from yesterday, and cases up by 28 as fears mount of a second surge.
However, cases are down by 20 from last week when 1,062 people in the UK tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday, August 9.The rise in cases is most likely due to an increase in testing as 182,987 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours.It comes after a weekend of quarantine panic as travellers to France were notified they would need to isolate for 14 days on their return with just 24-hours notice.
