CORONAVIRUS cases have shown a 'plateau' as Britons have kept to the social distancing rules which were set out by Prime Minister Boris Johnson ahead of the UK lockdown.
Speaking from Downing Stree, Mr Powis said:"As you can see here we have had a rise in the number of new UK cases."I think it's really important not to read too much into this because it's early days. We're not out of the woods. We're very much in the woods.The medical director of NHS England spoke from Downing Street"As you can see the number of infections is not rising as rapidly as it was.
