UK government publishes guidelines designed to minimise coronavirus risk during air travel
On Thursday Transport Secretary, Grant Shapps, said:"The government's advice currently remains to avoid all non-essential travel, but today we are taking the necessary steps to ensure a framework is in place for the aviation industry to bounce back when it is safe for restrictions on travel to be lifted."also advises passengers to wash their hands regularly after touching surfaces, and remain seated as much as possible on flights.
"Having listened to unions, we have offered a voluntary severance scheme and negotiations will continue in coming weeks."
